About Us

The Geneva Foundation was established in April 1993 with the sole mission to promote and support the advancement of military medicine. Since Geneva's inception, the Foundation has developed into a leading non-profit organization in support of military medicine in part by building relationships with highly skilled, exceptionally motivated, world recognized researchers and medical professionals. Geneva's core values of integrity, superior customer service, quality, innovation, teamwork, and respect for all remain the fundamental guiding principles that are directly linked to over 15 years of success for the organization.

Geneva provides comprehensive services in support of the advancement of military medicine through its research and education programs. For over 15 years, Geneva has supported military medical research by procuring and administering grants and contracts for military researchers nation- and world-wide. Specifically, the Foundation engages in pre- and post-award grant and contract administration for research studies and multi-center clinical trials funded by Federal, non-Federal, and industry sponsors. As of 2007, Geneva has managed over $37 million in Federal and non-Federal funds in direct support of military medical research and education.

The Geneva Foundation's unique experience is in serving as a prime recipient, as well as a sub-recipient or subcontractor, for all types of research awards and programs - grants; contracts; cooperative agreements; congressional special interest programs; and large, national research consortiums. Geneva maintains a master Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. AMEDD Center and School; a boilerplate CRADA with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research; and Memorandums of Understanding with several major Air Force facilities, which allow Geneva to quickly initiate research programs within military medical facilities worldwide. These agreements, along with Geneva's annual Defense Contract Audit Agency audit, greatly aid in the swift execution of research.

The Geneva Foundation also provides comprehensive project management services in support of industry-sponsored clinical trials from the inception of the idea to the delivery of the product. Geneva, along with its military research partners, provides a responsive, cost-effective, quality service to industry sponsors. Whether managing a single service scope of work or a full-service global research program, Geneva's team consists of experienced project leaders focused on providing on-time, quality data in accordance with the sponsor's expectations and all applicable regulations.

In addition to administering the research awards, Geneva has a solid reputation for providing highly skilled and experienced personnel to manage programs. For example, Geneva supports the important work of its military partners and sponsors through service contracts and Geneva's Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) Mobility program. Through such efforts, Geneva employees work side-by-side their partners on-site at laboratories, medical centers, and sponsor offices in positions such as Program Officer, Senior Clinical Consultant, Software Programmer, and Clinical Nurse Coordinator.

Geneva is dedicated to the ongoing education and training of military medical personnel. The Foundation serves as an intermediary between sources of non-Federal funding and military medical facilities by accepting gifts on behalf of the institution, which can be used to support its educational endeavors. Geneva supports educational and training opportunities that might not otherwise be available due to Federal budget constraints.

In summary, The Geneva Foundation offers a broad spectrum of services for military medical professionals in support of research and education. Geneva offers a distinctive expertise valued by researchers and leaders of military medical centers, laboratories, and research sponsors. The Foundation's corporate staff offers a diverse blend of scientific, technical, and leadership support for the procurement and management of research and educational programs. Geneva's vast experience in research management and unique relationship with over 33 military facilities worldwide make Geneva the premier non-profit organization to promote and support the advancement of military medicine.
